SETTLE 19th DECEMBER 2021

At the last moment a walk was arranged for the final Sunday in December which was left vacant after the earlier reshuffle of the walk calendar. The venue chosen was Settle – always a popular choice.

On the day, the weather was perfect.

Five walks were planned, and at different times and at different speeds each group managed to include most of the honey pots of the area.

Stainforth and the Catrigg Force

Attermire Scar and Jubilee Cave

Scaleber Bridge and Force

Scale Haw Force Hebden

The rivers, the waterfalls falls and the atmospheric views across the fells were outstanding. The season was celebrated in one or two local pubs, and a good day was had by all.

Special thanks to Ele and Stuart who masterminded and enabled the walk.

Thank you to the photographers who have excelled themselves this week. I know some views and groups are duplicated but all photos well deserve a viewing.

I hope you have a happy and safe Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.
