Hebden Bridge to Haworth          5th December 2021

It was an early start from Hebden Bridge as three groups headed up the infamous cobbled path from the centre of the town to the open Wadsworth -  Haworth moors.

The Oldhams had already left the coach many miles previously to start their 16 miles trail across Entwhistle Moor, Bouldswoth Hill and Little Wolf  Stones before descending cheerfully in to the town.

Stuart’s group followed the traditional route past Hardcastle Crags, Walshaw Dean reservoirs, Withins and down by Bronte Falls to Haworth.

Geoff and Mike’s group set off for Heptonstall to follow the river to Walshaw and approach the reservoirs from the Pennine Highway - around the back of the Round Hill.

Mike and Allan, and Mike and Pat followed similar routes up to Horse Bridge where they separated but finished together again near Leeshaw Reservoirs. They shared the mud at Thurrish Rough and both arrived in Haworth just in time to see the Scottish Pipers and the wedding.

Anne and Helen and Stef enjoyed a pleasant day exploring every corner of Howarth town.

Steve J spent the time roaming on the remote slopes above the reservoirs and returned to Haworth by Within Slack.

It was a day of imaginative routes across some very bleak moors.

As ever,  thanks to the photographers for their talented contributions to the Album: - Howie, Dawn, Stuart, Ian, Geoff, Mike C, Mike J, Chris, Rick, Mike B, Allan and Steve J .
